Mental health support for veterans

Grid showing different stress challenges

Our self-help guides have been developed by the specialist mental health clinicians working at Combat Stress in collaboration with veterans.

We are Combat Stress, the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health

For over a century we’ve been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service.

With the Government advising the public to avoid non-essential travel following the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are asking that visitors do not attend any of our treatment centres. This includes veterans, who will receive their treatment and support off-site.

Our 24-hour Helpline 0800 138 1619 remains available to all veterans and their families for confidential mental health advice and support. Our online self-help is also available for guidance and support.

Now more than ever veterans need us and we need you
