Our Top Tips for Exercise
Tips to exercise at home
It’s so important to keep moving to maintain a healthy mind and body. Staying at home means you might need to consider different things to usual. Here's a few tips to start you off.
- Download apps or look for home workouts on YouTube for inspiration.
- Try walking up and down the stairs, doing housework, yoga and bodyweight exercises - all great ways to keep moving.
- Workout at home with bodyweight exercises like: planks, static holds, and pushing against surfaces. These have a regulating effect on your sensory system, which can not only help you stay in shape but also leave you feeling calm for hours afterwards.
- If you need energising, you could try a HIIT workout or energising yoga routine.
- Why not get everyone you live with involved at the same time, to make it more fun?
- Try to exercise at the same time each day, this will make you’re more likely to keep doing it.
