Veterans' Foundation gives grant of £5,000

The Veterans’ Foundation has awarded Combat Stress a grant of £5,000 towards its 24-hour Helpline.

The Helpline offers free, round-the-clock mental health advice to veterans and their families. Set up in 2011, the Helpline remains a vital source of support to the veteran community.

Robert Marsh, Director Income Generation at Combat Stress, says: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Veterans’ Foundation for their grant towards our Helpline. When a veteran contacts our Helpline it is often the first step towards getting the help they need.

“It’s crucial that we raise funds for the charity to make sure we can continue being here for every veteran who comes to us for care, treatment and support.”

The grant to Combat Stress was made possible by players of the Veterans’ Foundation national Veterans’ Lottery. To find out more visit the Veterans’ Foundation website.
