40 years on veterans' battles Are still being fought here

PTSD is horribly real and continues to devastate lives long after leaving the services.

The psychological damage of conflict can last decades. That’s why, 40 years after the Falklands War ended, veterans who served there are still struggling to leave the battlefield behind and need treatment for PTSD. In the last year alone, we’ve had more than 60 Falklands’ veterans requesting our support, we’ve supported veterans from 17 different conflicts, those from recent conflicts and from long ago. And every year, veterans come forward for help after battling PTSD alone for decades.

It’s never too late to ask for help though. Of veterans we’re currently supporting, the oldest is aged 88 and the longest it took to turn to us for help is 57 years.
