In your community (OT Workshops)
What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy helps you rebuild your life by focusing on work, leisure and how to look after yourself. You may want to think about volunteering or paid work, studying or learning a new skill or hobby.
What do we do?
We have occupational therapists in our community teams across the UK and offer workshops and individual therapy sessions.

Occupational therapy workshops
The workshops run over seven weeks and each one focuses on a different area. We look at topics including physical health and well-being, relationships, behaviour, beliefs, emotions and thinking. It is a safe environment to discover new skills, problem solve difficulties and build a toolbox of strategies, encouraging you to play an active part in your daily life with friends and family.
Individual Occupational Therapy Sessions
Sometimes we offer individual sessions. These focus on everyday tasks and helping you to achieve a good balance in your daily activities to promote good mental health, support recovery and achieve a sense of purpose and meaning.
Community support
We also provide support through community clinics many of which are based in The Royal British Legion Pop In Centres across the UK and Poppy Scotland.
Our community occupational therapy is available throughout the UK and offered after an assessment by the community team.
