Help more veterans recover: Rebecca's Story RG

Help more veterans recover

You may have heard our sad announcement in the news over last weekend.

Since then, we've had an incredible outpouring of support to help us care for veterans and many people have asked how they can help ensure veterans get life-saving mental health treatment.

One simple way is by making a kind donation to Combat Stress. Your donation, no matter how small, can help servicemen and women get the support they need and deserve.

Find out more about the people your donation could help and read Rebecca's story.

Rebecca's Story

"I was battling with suicidal thoughts. I was terrified"

As a ward master in Afghanistan, Rebecca saw countless soldiers, civilians and children who were critically injured or dying. But she only noticed how much these experiences had affected her years later, and life soon started to feel unbearable for Rebecca.

“I felt like there was no way out of what I was feeling... sometimes I used to imagine crashing my car into a wall just to escape."

After a doctor suggested Rebecca contact Combat Stress, our treatment helped her process her experiences and begin to see a brighter future.

“The treatment I've had at Combat Stress has been amazing. It helped me come to terms with the things I've seen; it completely changed my life."
