Combat Stress launches the Do 100 challenge

We’ve launched “Do 100” – a fundraising challenge with a difference in our 100th year. It is part of the Combat Stress At Ease Appeal to raise £10m to help veterans with trauma-related mental health problems be themselves again.

Do 100 is about doing what you want, when you want, where you want and with whoever you want – how you take part is your choice, and how long it takes over the course of a year is up to you – just do 100! It’s something for all the family, for groups of friends, colleagues, or anyone opting to do something on their own.

Activities that people have decided to do so far include running 100 miles over the course of a month, collecting 100 £2 coins, doing 100 trampoline somersaults; mixing 100 tracks non-stop in a DJ set, swimming 100 lengths over several sessions, running a 100km ultra marathon and picking up litter to raise £100 in sponsorship.

Funds raised from Do 100 go to Combat Stress’ At Ease Appeal, which seeks to raise £10m to support the charity’s life-changing treatment for veterans with mental health problems including PTSD.

To take part, you just sign up on the Do 100 page and download a fundraising guide and resources. Everyone who registers and takes part gets a thank-you card.

Participants can join the Do 100 Facebook group and create a Do 100 fundraising page. Anyone completing their challenge is asked to send photos with a brief message, or a short video to challenges@combatstress.org.uk.
