Answer the call

"When I called the Combat Stress Helpline there was a friendly voice at the end of the phone, making me feel like I wasn’t on the scrap heap. Someone cared – finally someone was giving a damn about me. Combat Stress put the wheels in motion for me to get counselling."

"Afterwards, I felt like the files in my brain were back in the right place, rather than strewn all over the floor. That really helped me get to where I am today. That call to the Helpline changed everything." Liz, RAF veteran.

Last year, nearly 12,500 veterans benefitted from Combat Stress’ support, and they want to meet the needs of every former serviceman and woman who turns to them for help. But right now, they’re 74% reliant on donations from the public and can only help some of those who are struggling. I would be so grateful if you could give a gift today, so when veterans ring the Combat Stress Helpline, they get the specialist treatment they need to start living their lives again.
