Veteran to cycle the length of the UK on a folding bicycle in aid of veterans’ mental health

Latest Stories

On June 22, veteran Rusty Cole will be cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for us.

What makes his challenge a little different is that he will be cycling the 954 miles on a folding Brompton bike, and will be averaging 100 miles a day, as he hopes to complete the journey in under 10 days.

Rusty served for 15 years in the Armed Forces, including tours of Iraq and Afghanistan, but after leaving the Army, found it difficult to reintegrate to civilian life, and struggled with his mental health.

He has therefore decided to take on this challenge to raise awareness and funds to support veterans who are struggling with their mental health like he once did.

Rusty will be supported throughout his challenge by his employer Lockheed Martin, as he looks to raise £3,000 from his efforts. To support him, visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Rusty-Cole
