Occupational Therapy team is 2020 Soldiering On Awards finalist
A massive congratulations to our Occupational Therapists who have been shortlisted for the prestigious 2020 Soldiering On Awards.
They’ve been selected as a finalist in the Healthcare and Rehabilitation Award, which honours a person or team that has demonstrated a major commitment and contribution in support of the physical or mental welfare of serving or former members of the armed forces community. This may be through healthcare, therapeutic treatment or rehabilitation services and support.
Also announced as finalists were Barry Coarse and his pet therapy dog Bella. Barry and Bella regularly visit veterans at Tyrwhitt House. The Animal Partnership Award category honours the unique relationships and companionship provided by animals, and the achievements of individuals engaged with animals that support or empower members of the Armed Forces community.
The winner of the Animal Partnership Award will be chosen by a public vote. We’ll have more details about that before voting opens on 5 March.
We'll find out on Awards night in April if OT and Barry and Bella are winners.
