Dr Walter Busuttil stars in Heads Together radio campaign
Our Medical Director Dr Walter Busuttil will be heard across national radio today advising the public on coping strategies during the lockdown.
He’s part of a new radio initiative, 60 Second Support, to boost the nation’s mental health during the pandemic. It’s a partnership between Radiocentre, the industry body for commercial radio, and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Heads Together campaign.
Each day this week and next, multi-platinum artist Professor Green will introduce one of ten leading mental health charities to speak for 60 seconds on how people can look after their mental health. Topics covered include isolation, bereavement, dealing with conflict at home and the benefits of exercise.
The series offers millions of listeners of stations across the UK advice, tips and activities encouraging them to adopt easy and practical techniques to support their mental health and wellbeing during the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr Busuttil is speaking as a representative of Combat Stress and Contact, a collaboration of military charities working with the NHS and MOD.
You can listen to Walter’s clip on the Heads Together website here https://www.headstogether.org.uk/60-second-support/ or visit the Twitter feeds for Heads Together and Combat Stress.
