Combat Stress Head of Research appointed as Professor at the King’s Centre for Military Health Research
We are delighted to announce that our Head of Research, Dr Dominic Murphy, has been appointed Professor at the King’s Centre for Military Health Research (KCMHR) in London.
KCMHR, part of King’s College London university, is the UK’s leading research institute exploring military mental health. It was instrumental in helping Combat Stress to establish a thriving and internationally recognised research centre focusing on supporting the needs of veterans with mental health difficulties.
Dominic’s appointment as Professor comes in recognition of his research achievements since he first started working within the field of military mental health. Having set up our research department and led countless research studies, Dominic has gone on to publish over 100 academic journal articles. He has also been appointed President of the UK Psychological Trauma Society, the COBSEO Director of Research on the Forces In Mind Trust Research Board and participated in NATO research forums and the Five Eyes Research Advisory Group.
Dominic’s new role will cement our relationship with KCMHR, and together we will continue exploring how to further support veterans in need.
