CEO Jeff Harrison to retire this year
Our CEO Jeff Harrison has announced his intention to retire later this year.
After three years at the helm of Combat Stress, and 11 years working at the charity, Jeff has decided the time is right to step into retirement.
Wanting to work in the charity sector, he was drawn to Combat Stress due to its history and ethos. Several of his relatives served in the Army and Royal Air Force so he was already aware that while military service is a fulfilling experience for many, it can leave some veterans in need of support.
Jeff joined Combat Stress in 2013 as Head of Finance and in 2017 became Director of Resources. From 2019 to 2020 he led a transformation project to bring Combat Stress to a breakeven position as part of a wider strategy renewal programme.
In January 2021, Mr Harrison was appointed interim CEO of the charity, before being given the permanent position in November 2021.
The process to recruit a new CEO is already underway and we will make an announcement about that later in the year.
