Professor Timothy Evans DSc FRCP FRCA FMedSci
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Professor Timothy Evans, member of our Board of Trustees.
Alongside his role as Combat Stress trustee, Tim was a Consultant in Intensive Care and Thoracic Medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital and from 1996, a Professor of Intensive Care Medicine at Imperial College London. He was also the National Director of Clinical Productivity for the NHS. In recognition of his expertise, Tim was made an honorary Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to the Royal Army Medical Corps, which he carried out for over 20 years.
On becoming a Combat Stress trustee, Tim said: “I have always been aware personally of the debt of gratitude we owe the servicemen and women of my grandparents’, parents’ and current generations.”
Sue Freeth said: “Tim may have been a Trustee for just over a year but his knowledge, compassion and commitment to helping UK veterans made Tim an invaluable part of our organisation. He was a dedicated member of the Clinical Governance Board and he will be missed greatly by many.”
