Combat Stress experts join panel discussion at South Hill Park Arts Centre, Thursday 9 June, 6-7pm

Battle:Cry Is a multidimensional exhibition that aims to expand the knowledge and understanding of post-traumatic stress disorder. It Includes extracts from Lynn Hamilton's short stories, together with Postcards from My Past, an installation artwork by Jennie Jewitt-Harris and Sleepless Dreams a piece of sound art by Oliver Jewitt Harris which forms a response to the PTSD research and characters depicted in Lynn’s short stories.

Dr Walter Busutill, Director of Research at Combat Stress, will talk about PTSD, the treatment and support available to veterans and the work of the charity. His colleague, art therapist, Kirsty Mackay will also talk about how art can be used as part of the recovery process. Through creating imagery it can help a veteran express how they are feeling and to put their experiences in to words.
