Regional Operations Manager completes Leadership Programme
This week Andy Smith, our Regional Operations Manager in the North Region completed his journey to become a Clore Fellow through the Clore Social Leadership Emerging Leader Programme, ‘Clore6: Cobseo’.
Andy was nominated by Chief Executive, Sue Freeth and Director Client Services, Carol Smith to take part in this Cobseo initiated programme that helps develop emerging leaders in the military charity sector.
The programme, funded by the Forces in Mind Trust, sought to develop a group of leaders to provide robust and effective leadership for their organisations and sector. The programme is built around Clore Social Leadership’s Social Leaders’ Capabilities Framework, which illustrates the attributes, behaviours and skills for successful leadership.
Andy said;
“This has been an outstanding course, at the beginning they say it will transform you as a leader and I feel that this has happened. It’s been great to develop the core skills within the Clore Capabilities Framework and begin to utilise these within my role.”
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity, which has helped me to ensure that I am as capable a leader as possible. Although the course is over, as a Clore Fellow I will continue to be an advocate for leadership in the social sector and I look forward to implementing what I’ve learnt.”
