About Us:
Combat Stress was established in 1919. We are the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. For over a century, we’ve helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.

About the role:
At Combat Stress, the veterans’ mental health charity, we are working at the forefront of clinical innovation in veterans’ mental health. We deliver interdisciplinary phased-based treatments for former servicemen and women with complex mental health needs.
This is an exciting time to be joining use and a superb opportunity to work in a specialist trauma service and in the rewarding field of veterans’ mental health. We have recently transformed our services to offer an even more accessible, unique and cutting-edge service, with our intensive treatment programme for veterans offered in-person in a residential and outpatient setting, as well as online.
We are a passionate workforce committed to working with veterans and their families to achieve the best outcomes for recovery.
As a member of the Scotland team, you will:
- Work within a truly multi-disciplinary team with an emphasis on partnership working
- Provide care and treatment with Veteran’s firmly at the centre of all decision making
- Receive training in sensory-informed treatment for trauma as well as occupational case formulation.
- Practice occupational therapy in its truest form and deliver unique occupational therapy interventions – rebuilding veterans’ lives.
- Add to the research and evidence-base of occupational therapy with veterans as part of a funded research project to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of occupational therapy with veterans.
This role is subject to a PVG check.
