Status: Fixed-term for 12 months
Salary: Band 7, £44,604 - £51,042, per annum, pro rata dependent on experience, plus 5% outer London Fringe allowance
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week

Are you an HCPC Registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist and/or BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with experience providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults with a range of mental health needs, with a particular emphasis on trauma-related difficulties, and skills and experience supervising others?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a dynamic inter-disciplinary service which offers evidence-based treatments for veterans with complex trauma-related mental health difficulties (such as PTSD and C-PTSD).
About Us:
Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.
About the role:
Key responsibilities of the role will include working as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatments. Psychological interventions span the range of evidenced-based therapies for PTSD and Complex-PTSD, including TF-CBT, NET, CPT, CFT for trauma and PE (EMDR is also now being included in our treatment options for specific presentations). There might also be responsibilities relating to the clinical supervision and line management of Assistant Psychologists.
This role is subject to a DBS check.
