In December, we hosted our Christmas Carol Service virtually, with over 500 supporters enjoying the amazing choir and service from the Royal Hospital Chelsea, from the comfort of their homes.
The first 250 that registered were sent a candle and the order of service, and we were delighted to have TV Presenter Lorraine Kelly; Sergeant Major Glenn Haughton OBE; Royal Chelsea Pensioner Dewi Treharne and our Chairman Giles Peel perform the readings.
The virtual service was such a success, that even if we can hold the service in person this year, we will still be live streaming the event for all those supporters who can’t attend.
Here is just some of the feedback we received:
“I just wanted to thank you and CS for the splendid service last night. I really felt as though I was in the church again! The choir, as always, was magnificent and the service kicked off our Christmas as it always has.”
“Thank you so much for last evening’s service. It was excellent! The singing and the readings were perfect. Well done to everyone…. Thank you also for the Order of Service and the little candle which arrived with us in very good time.”
“Please pass our thanks to everyone involved in tonight's beautiful Carol service. It was just what we needed to kick-start this very special season during such an awful time.”
